Every Komainu illustration is created in-house by Dsign Crtel rather than sourced from stock graphics or existing tattoo flash. Expressive faces, flowing manes, muscular forms and powerful guardian stances are developed through detailed linework and layered framing influenced by traditional Japanese imagery and Irezumi composition. Waves, clouds and florals add movement around each figure while preserving the strength of the central design.

Heavyweight 240 GSM Garment-Dyed Cotton

Each tank top is made from 100% carded cotton with a substantial 240 GSM construction. The dense fabric provides more structure and coverage than a lightweight athletic vest while creating a stable foundation for detailed Komainu artwork. Garment dyeing gives the cotton a softened, faded appearance with subtle tonal variation and a naturally worn-in streetwear character.

Relaxed Boxy Fit with Raw Armholes

A relaxed boxy body, wide shoulders and raw-cut armholes create a rugged sleeveless silhouette built around bold back-print artwork. Most designs use the broad rear panel for a complete guardian lion composition, while selected pieces include a smaller coordinating chest detail. Wide neck ribbing, side seams, shoulder-to-shoulder taping and double-needle hems reinforce the garment without restricting its relaxed drape.
