Japanese tattoo art is built around movement, symbolism and storytelling. These principles shape every Dsign Crtel illustration, combining influences from Irezumi, Japanese folklore and traditional tattoo composition with a darker contemporary drawing style.
Each design is developed specifically for print, rather than adapted from stock artwork. Dragons, koi, tigers, samurai, geisha, snakes and other traditional Japanese motifs are composed to work naturally across the garment and retain their detail, balance and impact when worn.
The garments are chosen to complement the artwork, from heavyweight hoodies and oversized T-shirts to faded finishes, stonewash fabrics and relaxed silhouettes. Different weights, fits and washes give each print its own character while keeping the collection rooted in tattoo-inspired streetwear.
